World Population Day 2024 Theme. This year, the day is being observed on thursday, july 11, 2024, with the theme “leave no one behind, count everyone,” which emphasises the importance of inclusive data collection to ensure that everyone is fairly represented in population. This event has been celebrated for almost three decades and the aim is to focus the world’s attention on the importance of population issues.
During the occasion, an innovative family planning display model “sugam” and family planning posters in hindi, english, and regional languages imbibing the current year’s theme for world population day 2024 were unveiled. The theme for the day changes annually and is decided by the united nations development program (undp) in coordination with the united nations population fund (unfpa).
